Shree Bhu Varaha Creations – Feb 2014 to till date

Started own freelancing work doing various jobs for Touring Talkies, Adisha Safety Solutions and other clients. I design jobs like, business books, invite cards, brochures, leaflets, banners, stationery items and others.

My first project of re-designing a website is for a conference Bangalore Business Literature Festival. This was done through Wix Website Builder. I maintain their website and also monitor their online registrations, create jobs like, banners, posters, program brochure, placards and others during the fest. On the day of the conference, I am in-charge of doing presentations connected to the speakers, while they are speaking on the Stage.

I have even started editing videos connected to the conference by removing the areas which are not needed. I also update names of who is speaking in that particular area of the video.

On 14th November 2018, started to design my profile website using the services of  wordpress.com. The site was designed using Elementor PageBuilder. Later, started the job of servicing and maintaining WordPress websites. On 2nd October 2020, my profile website was enhanced with a new design using the services of WPBakery PageBuilder.

My Second project was re-designing their WordPress website Sustainability Next using a new theme from ThemeForest, using TagDiv Page Builder. I even maintain their sites by updating articles each month. I also do their monthly online Emailer through Zoho and also update their monthly newsletter in Magzter.

Was lucky enough to once again work with my old employer, this time as a Freelancer (work from home) for Repromen Offset Printers. There I design their various jobs of LG, Muthooth, Redmi, and others…

My 3rd project of designing a new WordPress website, benedictparamanand.com. The site was designed using Gutenberg PageBuilder, which is a personal blog of Mr. Benedict Paramanand.

Had an opportunity to design and upload books to Amazon Kindle, which was received happily by the client.

Even have a basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Drupal, and Joomla.

Repromen Offset Printers

Graphic Designer – Aug 2006 to Feb 2014

Modification of documents given in Acrobat, as needed were done and also the colours which were RGB (Red, Green, Blue) and other native colors and then convert them to CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) including converting the images to CMYK from RGB, GIF (Graphic Interface Format) and other native formats to a much better image in TIF (Tagged Image Format), PNG (Portable Network Graphics> and even JPEG (Joint Photographers Employees Group) for better looking in print.

Full accountability in trapping and overlapping between the colours and make corrections in CorelDraw, Illustrator, PageMaker and Indesign, to execute jobs in scheduled time.

Accountable for monitoring jobs that include Tent Card, Wobbler, Masks and other jobs, if required we needed to redraw them according to the given source and save them for printing purpose.

Deftly handle jobs which require to recreate die according to the job and send it for die cutting fabrication.

Design and develop Brochures, Booklets, Folders, Flyers, Labels, Stickers, Banners, Tent Cards, Wobblers, Streamers, and other design jobs and also working on Regional languages like Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu using Shri-Lipi software.

Effectively coordinate with vendors, content and sales teams, resolve difficulties and provide total technical support to clients all over India and abroad.

Translations from English to Kannada, complete typesetting of written scripts of other languages like Tamil, Hindi and Telugu were done regularly.

Shouldered the onus of designing advertisements from existing publications/create new designs on clients’ request.

Conceptualizing and designing quality and productivity standards and creative artworks as per clients’ requirements were met with.

Nurture productive relations with the customers to ensure repeat business opportunities.

Interact & coordinate for exploring new formats, concepts, colours and provide typographic solutions to appeal to specific audiences. Approve the final quality for printing.

Digital Artist – Sep 2000 to Aug 2006

Entrusted with the onus of scanning of Images, colour correction & creation of graphics, including the creation of multi-coloured layouts and working even on languages like Kannada and Hindi languages using Shri-Lipi including English Jobs

Shouldered the responsibility of designing jobs, according to scribble and obtain design elements from creative designers who would design vector designs according to Art Director

Actively engaged in placing the graphics in the jobs according to the size and shape of the scribble drawn by Art Director/Creative Director

Drove the efforts for designing Brochures, Labels, Stickers, Banners, Leaflets, Press Ads and other print jobs of various clients that included Convergion, Aditya Birla, Citizen Watches, GE and many other walking clients, including small companies to publish ads in newspapers or product brochures.

Sumeru Photographics (Trimurthy Compusys)

DTP Operator – Dec 1996 to Mar 1999

Initiated the turnaround efforts for creating illustrations using illustrator and many effects using Photoshop

Effectively interacted with the clients – GE Lighting, TMI Network and others, also introduced digital photography and executed photography jobs for Citizen Watches

Displayed credibility in designing book-works, manuals, brochures, labels, banners, carton boxes on PageMaker and vector design was done on Illustrator and editing of images was done on Photoshop.

Also had an opportunity to work with Titan Watches, where we would take a photograph of the live watches and design a product brochure of them.

Typeshop (Fontage)

Trainee Operator – Apr 1994 to Nov 1996

Successfully bagged the opportunity of working on many textbooks orders and thereby learnt to do jobs in regional language Kannada using Akruthi language software. On PageMaker software, we were designing Visiting Cards, Wedding Cards including Press Ads, Annual reports, Textbooks, labels, stickers and also assisted the screen printers

Created small logos in CorelDraw and exported them to PageMaker for further designing.

Got exposed to Bromide Printing (CRT) and a software called Linoscript, which is believed to be 1st DTP software.

Also came to know about Venture and QuarkXpress, both are page making software, which was very popular at that time.
